Busy June

Well, to start off summer right, we SOLD our house finally. So, the whole month of June consisted of me packing and trying to find a place to live. Boy, there are some nasty rentals out there. We finally found a 1300 sqft. townhouse that was nice, clean, & had a great location to all we do. Most of our stuff went to storage (2700 sqft house to 1300 sqft rental). All is okay except having to go back to a queen size bed (6'3" just works better in a longer bed).

Here is our dirt!! We actually have blocks on here now. We hope to have the house built by Jan/Feb. Pool should be dug next week!!

Beginning of Summer

Well, another school year has past. Lauren, we are so proud of you!! Another year of straight A's. What a wonderful sight for any parent. I can't believe Lauren will be in 5th grade next year...it will be full of change & great field trips. This year has been wonderful & she even blew the top off her Benchmark test scores....as a teacher, I'm so proud.

After my last day at school on Tuesday, where I found out I was elected teacher of the year for HTMS...wow for me....it means so much. On Wednesday we headed to the mall for our annual Manicure & Pedicure....Lauren told me I needed a design on my toes so here are our pretty toes!!!

The Black Stallion

I was able to go on a field trip with Lauren the other day. All the 4th graders in Springdale Schools are reading the Black Stallion. They went to the Bentonville Fair Grounds and watched a great show about the Black Stallion. She had a lot of fun watching it...she said it was like the Dixie Stampede without food and singing. She got to see a few of her friend from other schools too...always fun!

Easter Sunday

Well...it was a cold Easter morning. I couldn't wear my Easter dress....just too cold. Lauren couldn't wait. She put a little sweater on and wore it. She was so proud of her necklace and earrings we had made for her dress. She sure is looking like a little lady instead of a little girl. We thank the Lord for blessing us with her.
My beautiful daughter & handsome husband
It won't be long and she'll be as tall as me!!

Way too much to get caught up...

Let's start out in January... The biggest ice storm EVER!! My big beautiful tree is now just half of what it used to be. We were very lucky to NEVER to have lost power during the storm.

We did have lots of family at our house for several days trying to stay warm. Everyone in my family lost power....shows you who lives right...hahaha!
Next, February...Laurenfest...Our sweet girl turned 10 this year. I still can't believe it. All her friends came and had doughnuts & milk....then they swam for 2 hours. She is so blessed to have so many wonderful friends. I just love this picture of her & some of her best buds!!!

Also, we had Sonics basketball going too. Lauren was told to be more aggressive in the game....soooooo after 4 fouls in one 30 min. game she was proud of herself.

Number 33...Hands up for those rebounds!!!
Another fun February event was the SWJH cheer clinic. Lauren just loves these. She did a great job & told me she heard a new song that they did their dance to..."Hey Mickey! I had to inform her that was an old song, but a great one! I have to admit, it is fun watching her on my old gym floor where I used to perform.

Look at those Splits!!!
She really wanted on top of the pyramid, I told her she was too tall!!

March...Mommafest....We loved Spring Break, even if the weather was yucky...

We have friends with a suite at Razorback stadium & we went to 2 games that week..Go Hogs!
Also, we went to Tulsa for the day. Shopping for Mom, Aquarium for Lauren, & a cool old bookstore for Daddy.

My two favorite peopel in th world!!!

She sure knows how to pose....

In the suite at Razorback stadium....the only way to watch a cold game.

Veteran's Day program

Lauren doing her speaking part

Lauren & Blake

This year Lauren's grade did the Veteran's day program at school. She was very excited because she is proud of her Papa being in the Navy. She had a speaking part and did a great job. She loves to sing & it's great to watch her. I think she's a bit of a natural. Here are a few shots from the performance and some friends too.

Last Razorback game

It's been fun, but I'm glad the home season is over. I will miss the tailgating. This last one was our best if I do say so. Richard's brother & his wife as well as Marcus & Andra were all there. We had brisket, twice baked potatoes, spinach dip, & of course a few chocolate desserts. It's been a blast tailgating this season with Rich & Heather, what great friends we have. Here is a picture of some of the trees from campus, they were beautiful that weekend.
